1. 2019 Georges Deschamps Premier (1er) Cru Fourchaume
Chablis is a famous wine region in France, located in the commune of the Yonne department. Chablis AOP only allows Chardonnay grapes to be planted, the region has the perfect soil and climate to grow this variety. Premier (1er) Cru means that this wine comes from a specific, defined parcel of vines, recognized for expressive aromas and more depth of fruit.
This Chardonnay is bright on the nose, lively, and full of minerality with flint, lemon, lime, green apple, and pear along with a crispy texture and a long and intense finish.
2. 2015 Elio Sandri "Perno” Barolo DOCG
The Barolo wine region is one of the most incredible places in the world for making wines with excellence. The wines are made from the Nebbiolo grape and this producer is using the traditional method of making this immensely complex wine.
The classic Barolo aromas of roses, dried cherries, blood oranges, vanilla bean, cinnamon, with a touch of hazelnuts and earthy notes, all come onto the palate with a bright acidity, opulent and structured body, ripe and fine-grained tannins with a persistent finish.
3. 2017 AMI AOP Côtes de Nuits-Villages
Most wines labeled with Côtes de Nuits-Village are made from Pinot Noir grape, and come from a small village, in this case from Comblanchien, to the south of Nuits-Saint-Georges.
This is a distinct wine with layers of cherry, gooseberry and blackcurrant, rose petal, mushroom, and exotic spices. It’s powerful in the mouth, showing a great intensity of fruit in harmony with the body and alcohol, with a round texture and a long length.
