 The vines are planted on steep granite terraces, which require labour intensive practices to grow, to manageand to harvest the grapes. Arpepe craft their wine respecting the traditions of local winegrowers in Italy, they use a long maceration, keep the wine in barrel for long periods, then age them in bottle for six years before release.

 After 26 years of cellaring, the tannic astringency of the tannins has gone, now softened and complemented with refined aromas, such as sour cherry, dried rose, spice, game, vanilla, tobacco, leather, cocoa and a pronounced minerality. The wine retained a round and expressive mouthfeel, intense flavours and a long and persistent finish, making this wine complex and outstanding.
